Introduction
Online ordering refers to the process of purchasing food over the internet using a website or a mobile application. This system allows customers to browse a wide range of items, add them to a virtual cart, and complete the purchase from the comfort of their own homes.
In our Plum POS, we offer a feature to accept Online orders, and have a screen where users can view all orders placed through various online platforms such as Plum Ordering, OLO, DoorDash, GrubHub and more. The online order button will also notify the user when their internet connection is weak and possibility of losing online orders from customer
The following are the different Status that can be performed for online orders in the POS are as followed:
Ordered:
When an online order comes from any online ordering platform that would come under the Ordered status.
In Kitchen:
When a restaurant accepts an online order and begins preparing it, the order status will automatically update to 'In Kitchen' once it reaches the designated 'In Kitchen' time.
Ready:
When a is cooked and ready for the customer it status would change to Ready automatically within the timeframe.
Pick up:
When a customer received the order from the counter then the status of the order would be changed to Pick up automatically with the timeframe.
a. Name of all partners in the right panel, where users can click to view the orders received from each partner.
b. Filter for all online orders such as All, In Kitchen, Ready to PickUp, Finished and Scheduled
All: All online order will be available under all filter
In Kitchen: Orders that are currently being prepared in the kitchen will be shown under the 'In Kitchen' filter.
Ready to Pick up: Orders that are prepared and ready for the pickup will be shown under the 'Ready to Pick up’' filter.
Finished: Closed orders can be tracked in the 'Finished' tab for future reference
Scheduled: Any online orders scheduled for a future date and time will appear under the 'Scheduled' filter
c. Clicking on any specific online order within the screen will navigate the user to the detailed screen of that order.

We have an option in the online order screen through which a server can update the order status manually and if the order is not paid then, a server can do it from the terminal.
Users can manually change the order status by clicking the status option.
