In this feature, we’ve added a new flag called “Enable Bar Tab” in the Terminal Setup under global and site settings. Once this flag is enabled, the Bar Tab functionality becomes available for IPA.
This allows customers to open a tab, add multiple orders without immediate payment, and settle the total bill when they close the tab.e, extra pepperoni for a pizza modification which means an extra portion of pepperoni is required.
Bar Tab features include:
Open Tab: Customers provide a payment method (like a credit card) to keep the tab open.
Add Orders: Drinks or food can be added to the tab throughout the visit.
Close Tab: Customers pay the total bill when ready, with an option to add a tip.
Pre-Authorization: Some systems reserve a specific amount to ensure payment.
Note: The Bar Tab Functionality feature will only be functional to the subscribed stores. If a store does not subscribe to this feature then users will not be able to use this feature for that particular store.
Users can add various Portion Groups in its organization depending upon the modification he wants
Step 1: Navigate to the Plum POS Global setting
Step 2: Navigate to the terminal setup module
Step 3: Select the terminal
Step 4: Enable the flag for “Enable Bar Tab”
We have also introduced an option called "Credit Card Pre-Auth Amount" in the “POS Settings” under the “Orders” section. This feature allows users to specify a pre-authorization amount for credit card transactions, enhancing payment security and ensuring that sufficient funds are available before completing a sale.

Step 2: Select Orders in the dropdown in General Settings
Step 3: Configure the value for the rule added as Credit Card Pre Auth Amount
