This document will provide you the explanation of Portions and how it can be used to configure menu in Plum POS
Portions can be defined as how much of a food you are served or how much you eat. A portion size can vary from meal to meal.
For any food item, there is a defined recipe for it which includes different ingredients in it which can be customised by the customer. For example, Extra pepperoni for a pizza modification which means an extra portion of pepperoni is required.
Users can add various Portion Groups in its organization depending upon the modification he wants to make on the modifiers as per the menu.
To add a Portion Group, user needs to click on “Add” button in the summary screen of “Portions” and then the following pop-up will be displayed.
Here, when the user will enter the name of Portion Group, and click on Save, then the following detail screen will be displayed:
User now needs to add the Portions that he wants to assign to this respective Portion Group.
