PAX beeping on Transaction Completion

Introduction

In this document we are going to look at the steps to be followed on the PAX device to make it have a continuous beep when the transaction is complete to remove the card instead of one single beep.

The procedure to raise the device volume is also included.

Steps

The following steps are if the PAX device is already configured and working. For the new initial setup start with steps 5-8 before loading the Rapid Connect app, then follow steps 1-3.

Step 1: Touch (Not Hold) all four corners of the main screen on the PAX device in a clockwise motion starting at the bottom left corner.

Step 2: It will prompt you for a password. The password is a four digit number of the store. For example, Store #378 would be “0378” or Store #55 would be “0055””

Step 3: Click Operation Settings > Card Remove Beep and select the radio button for Continuous Beep then select the Big Red X in the bottom left of the corner twice to get back to the system menu.

If this is a new install and steps 5-8 are completed, click the Red X until you return to the payment screen. You will then be on Step 9.

Step 4: Click Exit. It will prompt you for a password. Use the same password from step 2.

The system will ask if you are sure you want to exit, select Yes.

Step 5: Click the Settings Icon on the lower app bar

Password is pax9876@@ – This will bring you to the device settings.

Step 6: Click Sound – move all three volume indicators to the right to maximize volume levels.

Step 7: Click the Red X until you are back to main screen.

Step 8: Click the Rapid Connect icon to get back to the main processing screen.

After following the above-mentioned steps, the process is now complete.
